This July, our education team delivered a series of impactful training and engagement initiatives across South Yorkshire, inspiring both educators and learners to embrace drone technology as part of their future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"929\">Here\u2019s how we\u2019ve been making a difference:<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"1016\"><strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1016\">\ud83d\udccd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnsley.ac.uk\/\">Barnsley College<\/a>: CPD That Connects Technology to Real-World Learning<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1201\">We proudly welcomed tutors from Barnsley College for a dedicated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. These sessions were tailored to educators from departments such as:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1274\">\n<li data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1239\">\n<p data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1239\"><strong data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1237\">Construction and Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1240\" data-end=\"1274\">\n<p data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1274\"><strong data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1274\">E-sports and Public Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1464\">Over four dynamic training sessions, we introduced participants to the real-world applications of drones in their fields &#8211; from surveying to safety monitoring and creative digital capture.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1719\">Using our <a href=\"https:\/\/isites-dev.co.uk\/iprosurv-refresh\/fun-first-time-drones\/\"><strong data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1496\">STEM drone balls<\/strong><\/a>, the sessions also included live flying exercises that combined fun, interactivity, and skill-building. The result? Tutors walked away inspired and ready to bring drone-based learning into their classrooms with confidence.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1726\" data-end=\"1799\"><strong data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1799\">\ud83d\udccd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnc.ac.uk\/\">North Notts College<\/a>: \u201cTrain the Tutor\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caa.co.uk\/drones\/remote-pilot-qualifications\/\">Civil Aviation Authority (CAA<\/a>) A2 CofC Accreditation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1801\" data-end=\"2155\">As part of our ongoing relationship with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnngroup.co.uk\/\"><strong data-start=\"1847\" data-end=\"1860\">RNN Group<\/strong><\/a>, we hosted a Train the Tutor cohort from North Notts College at our training centre based at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dearne-coll.ac.uk\/\">Dearne Valley College<\/a>. This initiative focused on preparing educators to achieve their CAA <strong data-start=\"2041\" data-end=\"2083\">A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC)<\/strong> &#8211; an essential qualification for drone operations in the UK.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2304\">\u2705 Every tutor passed the certification<br data-start=\"2195\" data-end=\"2198\" \/>\ud83d\ude80 Each left with the confidence and practical know-how to teach drone skills in their own subject areas<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2442\">It was a brilliant display of how drone technology can unify diverse curricula, from environmental sciences to digital media and beyond.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2449\" data-end=\"2511\"><strong data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2511\">\ud83d\udccd \u201cDrones in Education\u201d Open Day: A Regional Showcase<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2670\">On <strong data-start=\"2516\" data-end=\"2528\">4th July<\/strong>, we opened our doors to careers leads, educators, and learning leaders from across the region for a special <strong data-start=\"2637\" data-end=\"2669\">Drones in Education Open Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2672\" data-end=\"2741\">Held at our base in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dearne-coll.ac.uk\/\"><strong data-start=\"2692\" data-end=\"2717\">Dearne Valley College<\/strong><\/a>, the event highlighted:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2743\" data-end=\"2969\">\n<li data-start=\"2743\" data-end=\"2801\">\n<p data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"2801\">Current and future career pathways in drone technology<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2802\" data-end=\"2868\">\n<p data-start=\"2804\" data-end=\"2868\"><a href=\"https:\/\/isites-dev.co.uk\/iprosurv-refresh\/drones-in\/\">Industry use case<\/a>s (environmental, media, logistics, and more)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2869\" data-end=\"2909\">\n<p data-start=\"2871\" data-end=\"2909\">Hands-on STEM drone ball experiences<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2910\" data-end=\"2969\">\n<p data-start=\"2912\" data-end=\"2969\">Tools for curriculum enhancement and student engagement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2971\" data-end=\"3188\">Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive &#8211; the event was praised as <strong data-start=\"3050\" data-end=\"3103\">inspiring, informative, and incredibly accessible<\/strong>, with many noting its value for shaping the future of vocational and <a href=\"https:\/\/isites-dev.co.uk\/iprosurv-refresh\/education\/\">STEM education<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3251\"><strong data-start=\"3199\" data-end=\"3251\">Looking Ahead: Drones as a Pathway to the Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3253\" data-end=\"3373\">These July initiatives form part of Iprosurv\u2019s <strong data-start=\"3300\" data-end=\"3339\">wider commitment to drone education<\/strong> across the UK.
